From a research lab to your pocket.
AiVALON began in a McGill University research lab, with a simple question: what can a breathing maneuver reveal about the heart? That research showed that guided breathing gently stresses the cardiovascular system, and that the way the heart responds carries real signal about cardiovascular health.
We built AiVALON to take that discovery out of the lab and into everyday life. Healthcare is shifting from reacting to disease toward preventing it, but prevention only works if people can actually track their health, early and often. Our app, Ally, offers a reliable, always-available way to track how your heart performs and stay ahead of risk, from home.
Clinicians, scientists and engineers
A team that spans preventive cardiology, computer vision and product engineering, the three disciplines this problem needs.

Mahya Khaki, MD, MSc
An emergency physician and inventor with frontline experience in primary care. Mahya turned her McGill research into AiVALON and now leads the company full-time, driving strategy, fundraising and partnerships.

Matthias Friedrich, MD
Tenured McGill professor, key opinion leader in preventive cardiology and serial entrepreneur with a prior exit. Matthias leads the science and clinical strategy, and opens doors through his business experience and network.

Arash Rasti-Meymandi, PhD
Arash leads AiVALON’s AI and signal-processing development.

Mohammad Asadi, BSc
Builds and ships AiVALON’s app and platform, turning the technology into a scalable product.

Amirhossein Mohammadi
He builds AiVALON’s AI and signal-processing models.
